Those who visit the popular Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach can Adopt a Sea Turtle through their adoption program that helps support the Marinelife Center to provide care and research for injured and endangered sea turtles.
The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a non-profit sea turtle research, rehabilitation and sea turtle hospital whose mission is to protect the ocean ecosystems and all that live in the ocean.
Loggerhead provides treatment and care for endangered and injured sea turtles before being released back into the ocean.
The adoption program helps to provide food, medication, tank maintenance, and hospital care for sea turtles. The adoption program starts at $40 dollars and benefits the constant care needed.
Once you choose to adopt a turtle, you can visit the sea turtles daily if you are local. If you don’t live locally, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center posts updates online on their website of all the turtles housed at the center.
The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is open daily for tours and events. The center hosts thousands of school children each year through field trips, outreach programs, summer camp, and other educational experiences.
