Hampshire Trust Bank has promoted Josh Swaby to business development manager for the North of England.
The lender says Swaby will be responsible for building broker relationships, raising awareness with developers, as well as supporting the bank’s existing brokers in northern England.
He was previously a relationship manager at the bank and has also held an underwriting role in its development finance team, after joining the business just under two years ago.
Prior to that, he worked at NatWest for just under four years, leaving as an assistant relationship manager in 2022.
Swaby will report to head of distribution, development finance, Scott Apps in his new role.
Apps says: “Ever since he joined Hampshire Trust Bank, Josh has shown his enthusiasm for ‘tough’ development finance cases as well as the knowledge and capability to find solutions.
“He is all about turning those tricky applications into solid completions and more importantly, providing certainty to brokers and their clients. “We truly believe that Josh will provide the support and technical know-how to help our clients and intermediary partners in the north thrive with HTB.”
Swaby adds: “I’m looking forward to supporting our fantastic development finance team, regional housebuilders and brokers in the north and demonstrating our commitment to the fantastic towns, cities and beyond that make this area so special.”
