The complete line-up of speakers and panellists has been unveiled for the Mortgage Business Expo in London this 12 October.
Taking place at the Business Design Centre (BDC) on Upper Street, the Bank of England’s Rob Elder will open the event providing an outlook for the UK economy.
Barclays UK Wealth Management chief investment officer William Hobbs will deliver the keynote speech, addressing the future for the housing and mortgage sector, while a joint MBE and Fiba (Financial Intermediary and Broker Association) session will take place, chaired by Pepper Money director of intermediary relationships Rob Barnard and several expert panellists.
Among many other highlights a discussion on the buy-to-let sector will take place, featuring David Whittaker, Keystone; Mike Cook, MFS; Maeve Ward, Central & Mercantile Trust and Andy Dean, The Mortgage Works and a session on technology asking how tech can enable brokers to support customers during economic uncertainty, with Jodie White, Legal & General Home Finance and Dale Jannels, One Mortgage System (OMS).
Since its launch in 2002, the Mortgage Business Expo has grown to become the biggest and most essential meeting place for the financial intermediary market. MBE is a dedicated event for mortgage practitioners and professionals providing opportunities, forecasts and trends for the UK mortgage and specialist lending markets.
The full line-up and exhibitor list can be found here.
Rob Barnard says: “MBE provides a great opportunity for brokers to engage with lenders and learn the latest views and insights in the market. These are interesting times, as the economic environment is leading to customers with more complex circumstances, putting greater emphasis on professional advice. With the market showing more positive signs, we will discuss how brokers can recognise and make the most of the opportunity to help a wider range of customers.”
Following Mortgage Strategy’s participation in a spectacular expo in Manchester earlier this year, we will also be in attendance at the London event this October.
