The Mortgage Store has appointed Mat Garner as chief executive of the broker business.  

The firm, founded over two decades ago, says Garner will lead its UK expansion as it focuses on boosting its technology services to improve customer journeys. 

Garner says: “There’s real alignment between myself and the owners on building a high-performance culture that fuels customer satisfaction and commercial success.” 

He adds: “What attracted me most was the unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.” 

The St Albans-based firm offers a range of home loans, from residential, landlord, bridging to equity release.

It also offers a range of specialist options covering mortgages for teachers, NHS workers, the police and the military.
