John Charcol has increased its presence in the North of England with the addition of a new office in central Newcastle.

The new office will be led by network mortgage broker David Rounsfell and Patrick Collins (pictured), mortgage advisers previously based at Prism Financial Advice in the North East.

Since the start of the year, John Charcol has recruited 10 new network members and intends to grow this number throughout 2020.

Brokers with their own client base or introducers can join the full partner network, which offers a commission rate of 85 per cent on mortgage sales.

Alternatively, those brokers who initially require help with lead generation can grow their business with the support of John Charcol before moving over to the full network.

Rounsfell says: “It’s been a dream of mine to bring the John Charcol name north since I moved up to the North East nearly 20 years ago and now this dream has become a reality. We have a strong focus to develop the brand and, with this office opening, we will go from strength to strength. We are bringing a wide range of professional services to clients in Newcastle and the North.”

Collins says: “What a fantastic journey so far and both David and I are very much looking forward to making a real impact on the mortgage market, representing the UK’s original independent mortgage broker.”
