Loughborough Building Society has promoted Luke Berrington to senior telephone business development manager.

Berrington has 17 years of experience in the financial services industry having previously worked at Halifax, Santander and Connells Mortgage Services.

He joined The Loughborough in 2018 as a mortgage adviser within the director advice team before transferring over to the intermediary team in 2019.

In his new role, Berrington will assume additional responsibility in the absence of the head of intermediaries when required. He will also be involved with supporting intermediary partners and developing new relationships.

Loughborough Building Society head of intermediaries Ashley Pearson says: “Luke has played an integral part in the growth of The Loughborough’s intermediary channel over the past five years.”
