NatWest will cut rates across its range for new customers, which includes reductions on some buy-to-let remortgage products by up to 146 basis points.

The high street bank adds these reductions, which come to market tomorrow (10 August), are aimed at several types of customers, “from first-time buyers to those who are looking to benefit from the mortgage guarantee scheme”.

This headline rate cut takes place in the lender’s BTL  remortgage range, where the 75% LTV five-year fixed rate with zero fee has gone from 3.47% to 2.01%.

As well as this, in the same category, the 60% LTV has been reduced by 104bps – from 2.94% to 1.90% and the 70% LTV has had 137bps removed, taking it from 3.38% to 2.01%

Both of these products charge no fee.

Other significant rate cuts include:

The 90% LTV core residential two-year fix with £995 fee being cut from 2.33% to 2.23% and the 85% LTV five-year fix with zero fee being reduced from 2.62% to 2.53%.

Meanwhile, the 90% LTV two-year fix with zero fee has been reduced from 2.70% to 2.48% but had its cashback component cut too – from £250 to £0.

In NatWest for Intermediaries’ first-time buyer range, the 85% LTV two-year fix with £995 product fee has moved from 2.03% to 1.84% and the 90% LTV five-year fix with £995 fee also has been cut from 3% to 2.83%.

Both of the above come with £500 cashback.

Within the mortgage guarantee BTL suite, the 75% LTV two-year fix with zero fee has received a 58bps cut, taking it from 2.67% to 2.09%.

And for remortgages, the following rate cuts occur across the two-year fixed range:

The 60% LTV product decreasing by 114bps from 2.77% to 1.63%.

The 70% LTV product decreasing by 129bps from 3.02% to 1.73%.

The 75% LTV mortgage decreasing by 134bps from 3.07% to 1.73%.

Each charge zero product fee.

Elsewhere, rate cuts of up to 94bps have taken place in the BTL five-year fixed rate purchase range alongside a cut of up 12 basis points in the lender’s residential green mortgage selection
