UK Finance director of mortgages Jackie Bennett OBE (pictured) is to step back from her role for the beginning of March.

Bennett says that she wishes to spend more time with her family and to pursue other interests.

She will continue to work for the company, which she joined in February 2018, but in a part time role as a senior adviser.

Bennett has 17 years’ experience in the mortgage industry, taking in senior roles in the compliance departments of lenders to policy development at the Council of Mortgage Lenders, where she worked for 10 years.

A UK Finance spokesperson says: “A search has begun for [Bennett’s] replacement… [Bennett] will continue to be employed by UK Finance part time as a senior adviser to support the mortgages policy team through the transition and provide strategic input on mortgages and housing.”
