Here are a few of our favorite family-friendly activities to do with your kids on a rainy day in the Palm Beaches.

Cool Beans Indoor Playground and Café is an all-encompassing indoor play area for kids and a great place to relax for their accompanying adults. Nothing can clear up a rainy day like a trip to a chocolate factory. Hoffman’s Chocolates has been in The Palm Beaches for decades, delivering tasty confections to generations. You can get a guided window tour of the various goodies being prepared, watch a video presentation about chocolate history and get some free chocolate samples. You can even get hands-on by taking a chocolatier class, where you make your own beautiful chocolate crafts!

Located in West Palm Beach, the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is a must-see for families with young kids. Mesmerizing for children and adults, this destination offers a way to beat the heat and learn all while having so much fun. The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium features a planetarium complete with star projectors and laser machines, a 10,000-gallon aquarium which is home to marine animals of the Atlantic Ocean, a butterfly exhibit and a miniature golf course. With ever changing exhibits, there is virtually no end to how many times you can visit the Science Center. Another amazing indoor play space for kids is We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym in Tequesta. This super clean and friendly kids gym is full of fun things for little ones. With suspended swings, a huge trampoline, climbing walls, and even a zip line, it’s no wonder this gym has earned such a big following since its recent opening. Two kid-loving families opened this gym with a background in child education and development to offer local kids the best tools and fun for their growing needs.
