ULS technology has recruited Simon McCulloch to the newly-created position of chief commercial and growth officer.

The property technology firm says McCulloch’s role will be to “direct commercial strategy and execution and drive growth” of its conveyancing platform DigitalMove.

It adds he will also focus on growing its eConveyancer business, which compares solicitors based on price, service and location.

McCulloch joins from HSBC where he was global head of wealth & insurance, digital as a channel, after being recruited last June.

ULS technology adds McCulloch has worked in consumer-focused financial services roles for more than 25 years, including almost ten years at ComparetheMarket.com, leaving as commercial director.

Prior to that, he spent just over 11 years at Countrywide, leaving as business development director.

ULS technology chief executive Jesper With-Fogstrup says: “We have worked together in the past and I know that Simon will be an asset to our business and to our quest to revolutionise the home buying, selling and owning experience through digital consumer and customer-focused experiences.”

ULS technology of chief commercial & growth officer McCulloch adds: “ULS technology has a clear vision of what it wants to achieve and a real opportunity to introduce real transparency to home moving, making the process truly consumer and customer focused and efficient.”

Among its operations, Thame-based ULS technology provides back-office management for several mortgage lenders, such as the Principality Building Society, Hodge and Habito.
