Mortgage Mum managing director Sarah Tucker, who sang on BBC talent show The Voice in 2019, will be performing at mortgage industry-led music event Ukraine Aid.

The organisers have also managed to sign on Anna Hodorovskaya, winner of The Voice Ukraine in 2013, who is currently having her refugee status processed in Belgium.

Likened to Live Aid, Ukraine Aid aims to raise £30,000 for several charities helping displaced Ukrainian orphans, including Unicef and World Vision.

It will be held on 30 June at the Lafayette Concert Auditorium in Kings Cross, London.

The total count for performers has now hit 14 acts, and also includes a Rolling Stones tribute act and the bootleg Beatles.

The fundraiser is the brainchild of Mortgageforce managing director Kevin Duffy, with input from brokers and lenders across the mortgage industry.

He says that 80% of sponsorships have been sold and that anybody interested in joining in with this should contact Michelle Barraclough at [email protected].

Commenting on her involvement, Tucker says: “I’m so excited to be performing at the Ukraine Aid concert and singing for such a worthy cause feels even better.

“I’m grateful to Mortgage Force for all the energy it’s putting into this to make this a spectacular event for everybody.

“We start rehearsals soon, and I’m so grateful to get the opportunity to be creative with other members of the mortgage world. This is a very special industry, full of amazing talent and people who collaborate across their businesses and support one another– you don’t always get that, and it’s something I have really come to appreciate!

“I always say mortgages are about more than just money, and we’re about to really showcase that in more ways than one!”
