Saga partners with Tembo on mortgage launch Mortgage Strategy

Products and services firm Saga has partnered with digital mortgage broker Tembo to launch Saga Mortgages.

Saga customers can access a specialised digital and in-person service, curated to cater for those looking to help family members get on the property ladder or remortgage.

The bespoke service also includes live mortgage pricing and affordability for all available mortgage products and eligibility check across 100 different lenders and personalised plans to show maximum borrowing repayments.

Saga said the entire customer journey will be supported by Tembo’s team of mortgage experts which will include the provision of personalised market advice on appropriate mortgages.

These individuals will be on hand via telephone and video contact services allowing Saga customers to speak to a member of the team seven days a week during operating hours.

Each customer will also have their own case manager assigned to them who will guide them through to completion.

Saga Mortgages will also liaise with the lender, solicitor, and sellers, acting as a coordinator on behalf of the customer.

Saga, a firm that caters to the over 50s in the UK, said it chose to partner with Tembo due to its in-depth knowledge, experience, and insight across the alternative mortgages space.

And that the new mortgage service is part of Saga’s strategic objective to become the “Superbrand” for older people in the UK.

It offers a range of curated products and services for those over 50. It said customers of the service will join thousands of other individuals across the UK who already trust Saga with their personal finance.
