United Trust Bank (UTB) is appointing Caroline Mirakian as sales and marketing director of its mortgage division.

Mirakian has held senior management positions with lenders including Metro Bank, Shawbrook Bank and Pepper Money.

Former UTB sales director of mortgages Mike Walters left the company earlier this year.  Mirakian’s new role will combine sales and marketing.

She will be responsible for managing the bank’s mortgages sales operations and working closely with director of mortgages, Buster Tolfree, in developing and delivering a strategy to increase UTB’s awareness and distribution in the residential, second charge loan and buy-to-Let mortgage markets.
