Take a trip out west to one of Palm Beach County’s western cities for the annual Black Gold Jubilee. The festival is put on every year to celebrate the end of the harvest season and the entire Belle Glade region, Belle Glade, Pahokee, and South Bay come together to celebrate the occasion.

The fun filled day includes family-friendly activities, rides, games, food, drinks, vendors, tournaments, car show, live music, entertainment, green markets, and a nighttime spectacular firework show over Lake Okeechobee.

The Glades region agriculture is world famous and to many locals its “America’s Winter Breadbasket” and with its dark, rich, fertile ground “Her Soil Is Her Fortune”, and just about everything grows in this region.

The Black Gold Jubilee came to be from the 1976 Bi-Centennial celebration in which the City of Belle Glade helped to sponsor and helped celebrate America’s 200th birthday. The festival was not official until two years later in 1978, when the first Black Gold Jubilee kicked off in McDonald Park. Since then, the Jubilee has grown to be one of the best and most anticipated festivals in the area. The festival draws thousands of locals and visitors each year to celebrate and participate in the fun filled day.
