Ipswich Building Society has hired Charlotte Grimshaw as its head of mortgage sales.

Grimshaw (pictured) previously worked as a senior account manager at the Family Building Society for just over three and a half years and, before that, at the Marsden for four and a half years.

In her new role, she will be tasked with overseeing the lender’s BDM functions and interacting with intermediaries, networks and clubs.

Ipswich chief executive Richard Norrington says: “We know just how important intermediaries have been to lenders and to their customers during the coronavirus crisis, and with [Charlotte] Grimshaw’s help we look forward to even closer intermediary relationships in the future.

“Through Charlotte’s appointment, we have been able to increase our market presence for networks and intermediaries and have restructured our internal sales team to ensure we give maximum support to our business development function.”
