Newcastle Intermediaries has promoted Mark Wilkinson as national sales manager.

Wilkinson’s promotion follows three years as Newcastle’s business development manager for the North East and Scotland.

In his new role, he will manage the company’s growing business development team and work to enhance its broker proposition throughout the UK.

Prior to Newcastle Intermediaries, Wilkinson has worked in branch as well as the intermediary and specialist lending markets for Newcastle Building Society, Pepper Money and Virgin Money.

Newcastle Building Society head of intermediary mortgages Franco Di Pietro says: “We are thrilled to witness Wilkinson progress within our intermediary arm.
