Home staging tips from Mad City Dream Homes

The living room

Go for a clean look in the living room. Use accent pillows and greenery for a splash of color. Remove window treatments, and let the natural light flow in.

The dining room 

Avoid cluttering the dining room table with place settings; display a single centerpiece instead. Trim the number of dining table chairs from six to four to help the room feel spacious, not crowded. 

The kitchen

Remove refrigerator magnets and nearly everything from the countertops. Organize shelving for a clean look and small pops of color. Add in a little greenery and art to add more color and warmth to the space. 

The bedrooms

A crisply made bed with a colorful runner and accent pillows works well. Once again, remove window treatments that block natural light, and let the light flood the room. Remove most items from nightstands and dressers, and go for small pops of color and visual interest. 

The bathrooms

Use a white waffle weave shower curtain and add in small pops of greenery to soften the space. Organize the shelving and use rolled, white towels for a soft and clean look. 

The front door

Add a plant with vibrant colors to create an inviting first impression from the curb. 

The patio

Stage your patio, so buyers can envision how they will enjoy spending time in your outdoor space.
