The Finance & Leasing Association (FLA) has appointed Shire Leasing’s Helen Lumb to its board.

Lumb has worked at Shire Leasing for more than eight years. She joined as finance director in 2014 and then took on the role of chief financial officer in 2018.

Prior to that, she was partner at Jenson Solutions.

Lumb’s appointment comes after Bill Dost and Carol Roberts recently stepped down from their positions on the board after served nine and seven terms respectively.

FLA director general Stephen Haddroll says: “[Bill Dost and Carol Roberts] insights and counsel have been much appreciated.”

“I am very pleased indeed that Helen has joined the board. Her expertise and sector perspectives will be much valued as the industry works together to meet the needs of customers facing uncertain economic conditions.”

Lumb adds: “I am looking forward to joining the FLA board and making a contribution towards representing our sector’s interests, in particular the opportunities and challenges that our asset finance industry is currently facing.”
