The Tipton & Coseley Building Society has appointed Joanna Hampson as its new business development manager.

In this role Hampson will aim to grow sales for the society across the home counties through the broker market. Tipton operates in a number of lending sectors, including specialist areas such as later life lending and ‘family assist’ mortgages aimed at the first time buyer market.

Hampson joins from Pepper Money UK. Prior to that she worked with Countrywide Mortgages where she helped customers source both mortgage and protection products.

Tipton head of mortgage sales Richard Groom says Hampson brought experience of both direct lending and the broker market to the society’s business development team. The appointment demonstrates the mutual’s commitment to actively expand its business, he added.
