Sancus UK has appointed Clair Dempsie and Harry Hutton, alongside the promotion of Lexie Phillips, as the business continues to scale its lending operations across Manchester and London.

Dempsie has joined in a newly created role as credit operations manager, based in the central London office.

She joins from Hampshire Trust Bank, where she spent a significant period of time developing expertise across credit, underwriting and operational risk.

Her role will span deal execution while also focusing on strengthening credit and operational frameworks.

Hutton has joined Sancus UK’s Manchester head office as lending manager, where he will manage loan transactions from origination through to completion.

He brings a background in property finance, having spent his career working across both developer and institutional lending environments.

Prior to joining Sancus, he held roles at Salboy and NatWest Group.

Alongside these appointments, Phillips, who has been with Sancus since May 2024, has been promoted to credit and risk operations director.

In her new role, she will help shape and develop processes aligned with the business’s growth strategy.

Sancus UK managing director Andrew Charnley says: “These appointments reflect our continued investment in our people as we scale the business.”

“With new lending this year expected to be in excess of £150m, and a team that has grown by 40% in the last 12 months, it’s critical we have the right structure and expertise in place. We expect to continue expanding our Manchester footprint and the wider team in London as demand continues to grow.”
