Mint Property Finance has hired Simon Micklethwaite as a senior business development manager.
The Cheshire-based specialist lender says Micklethwaite will be responsible for growing relationships with new brokers and professional introducers.
The veteran joins from Reward Finance Group where he worked for just under three years, leaving as business development director for the Yorkshire region.
Micklethwaite has worked in financial services for over 25 years, beginning his career began at HSBC where he spent 18 years in various roles, leaving as an international business banking manager in 2016.
He also worked for Roma Finance for three-and-a-half years as a business development manager, leaving in 2020.
Micklethwaite’s hire follows the appointment of Steve Smith, who became Mint Property Finance’s head of sales two months ago.
The firm, founded in 20111, focuses on bridging and development finance.
Smith says: “I have known Simon for many years, and he brings with him a wealth of relevant industry experience and knowledge.
“I know he will thrive in our relationship-driven, supportive environment.”
Micklethwaite adds: “I am very much looking forward to working with Steve again and rekindling some fantastic working relationships in the bridging and development sector.”
