American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. (AGSM), the 94-year-old Congressionally Chartered Veterans Service Organization, will host its 85th National Convention at the Hilton Palm Beach Airport, located at 150 Australian Avenue, in West Palm Beach. The exhibit runs through June 26, 2022. This year marks a unique opportunity for the public to participate in the weekend events which began on Thursday, June 23, 2022.
The exhibit and activities surrounding the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall will be open to the public 24 hours a day through, 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 26, 2022. The traveling wall allows people the opportunity to visit loved ones who otherwise may not be able to make the trip to Washington, DC. The Global War on Terror Memorial and 9-11 Memorial will accompany the Wall.
On Saturday, 25 June, AGSM will host a Veteran Stand Down. Stand Down is supported by the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center and will aid and inform the public about VA services to the local Veteran community.
American Gold Star Mothers, Inc., is a Congressionally Chartered, 501(c)(3), membership-based nonprofit veterans service organization founded in 1928. The members are Gold Star Mothers working together to honor and preserve the memory of their fallen children by educating the public about the price of freedom and continuing children’s service to veterans and military communities.
The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall stands as a reminder of the great sacrifices made during the Vietnam War. The intention of the Mobile Education Exhibit is to not only teach the next generation about service and sacrifice but to share stories of patriotism and love of the country to communities around the United States. The pilgrimage hopes to honor and preserve the memory of fallen heroes by educating the public about the price of freedom and continuing service to veterans, and military communities.
