Good news for Floridians, Governor DeSantis announced last week that the entire state of Florida will begin to enter the full Phase One of reopening the state and its economy, getting one step closer at getting life back to normal.

As more things begin to open in Florida, you are still asked to follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing and wear a face mask to keep the spread of COVID-19 numbers down.

Here is what is open in Palm Beach County and the state:

Restaurants

Food establishments may increase their indoor capacity to 50% instead of 25% with the proper social distancing and outdoor seating is encouraged.

Retail Stores

Stores are allowed to operate at 50% capacity indoors.

Libraries and Museums

Museums and libraries are allowed to open and operated at 50% capacity if permitted by local government.

Professional Sport Venues

Professional Sports venue may open for training, events and games

Gyms and Fitness Centers

Fitness Centers and Gyms may reopen and operate with 50% capacity. Staff and patrons are asked to sanitized surfaces and machines after every use.

Vacation Rentals

Counties may seek approval to allow the use of vacation rentals by submitting a written request and county safety plan to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

Beaches

Governor DeSantis met with county officials last week to discuss a plan to reopen the beaches in Palm Beach County. Commissioners voted 5-2 on Friday to reopen the beaches with no restrictions. Beach goers are allowed to sunbathe, walk, jog, swim in the ocean and concession stands will reopen and be allowed to operate.
