A few comments about home prices this fall
If you're selling your home this fall, it's important to remember that the fall market is a much more mellow market than the spring and summer markets. At the same time, buyers are sensitive to higher mortgage rates and the costs of ownership. You should price your home accordingly.
Homes that are priced too aggressively and needing significant repairs and updates tend to sit on the market and undergo price reductions, especially in this fall market. Consequently we are seeing more single family home listings expire without selling in 2026. More on this later in our report.
