OneDome has hired Mobeen Akram as head of new homes and partnerships.

The homebuying platform says she will lead the firm’s partnerships with housebuilders, focusing on linking its mortgage, conveyancing and insurance services with developers.

Akram joins from Mortgage Advice Bureau, where she worked for five years, leaving as new homes director.

OneDome founder and chief executive Babek Ismayil says: “Her [Akram’s] track record in building strong relationships with housebuilders and delivering growth in the new homes market is second to none.

“With our integrated mortgage and legal service platform, we’re in a unique position to support developers and their customers—and Mobeen is the perfect person to lead that charge.”

Akram adds: “I’ve spent much of my career working with housebuilders, and I know first-hand the importance of a frictionless buying process.”

OneDome, established in 2017, bought the digital mortgage broker formerly known as Trussle, which now trades as Better.co.uk, for an undisclosed sum in May.

This came after acquiring Coreco Group for a “seven-figure sum” in December.

The business has made a series of other acquisitions in recent years that include Nethouseprices, mortgage and financial advisory businesses Contractor Wealth Management, CMME Mortgage and Protection and Albany Park.
