What led you to where you are today?

LH: I've been a realtor for 2 1/2 years. In that time, I've learned a lot. Not just about the real estate market but also about myself. I've learned to persevere through challenges and creatively solve problems. When I give my client's the keys to their dream home and their eyes are filled with tears of joy, that is one of the best feelings in the world. That is what motivates me. This is what I love about being a realtor.

What's your favorite part about living in Maui and why?

LH: We have a big 'ohana here on Maui. Family parties, beach days, and time together are things that are important to me. Having our parents and siblings near is my favorite thing about being on Maui.

What's one thing you've always wanted to do on Maui but haven't yet?

LH: Something I've always wanted to do was take a helicopter tour. I'm afraid of heights, though. Maybe one day I'll work up the nerve to do it!

What inspired you to work in Maui real estate?

LH: I've watched my mom run her property management company for over ten years. I saw how she makes such a difference in people's lives through the service that she provides. I wanted to learn the sales side of real estate and help people find their dream home.

Where is one place on the island we can find you on the weekend or in your spare time and why?

LH: Before covid, I would go to the movies on the weekends. It was my little escape, sitting in a big comfy chair with some junk food and a great film. The Regal Cinema in Kihei became my favorite theater. We went there often. After a movie, we would go to the ice cream shop next door. It's the simple things in life that bring me joy.

What should clients know about you/what sets you apart from the crowd?

LH: I tell my clients, "We will start as strangers, but by the end of the journey, we will be best friends."

There are so many twists and turns in a real estate transaction and a roller coaster of emotions. We laugh, we cry, sometimes we want to scream. I will be right there alongside my clients, guiding and educating them through the details every step of the way.
