Halifax has streamlined its further advance applications online.

The lender says it has made a series of improvements to the process after listening to brokers.

These include:

• Instant decisions with a decision in principle that has a ‘soft footprint’ credit search
• Ability to create and review illustrations at once
• Save and resume keying
• Allows brokers to amend the loan amount and other details before submitting the application in full

The firm says the new system is available on its intermediary hub, adding that its “online system fact find questions will automatically determine if an application can follow the new or existing process”.
