Aviva has hired Charlotte Nixon as head of strategic accounts for the firm’s individual protection business.
Nixon joins the financial services company from Quilter Financial Planning where she worked for almost six years, leaving as proposition and distribution director, mortgage network.
She will report to Aviva protection portfolio distribution director Daren Boys when she takes up her post in January.
Boys says that Nixon “will undoubtedly bring her first-hand experience from across both distributor and insurer perspectives to the fore.
“She is already well connected across the individual protection industry and has upstream mortgage market insights from her time on the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries board, so she will be an asset to our business working alongside the biggest distributors across the UK market.”
Nixon adds: “I look forward to leading the strategic account management team as they further develop and enhance their already market-leading adviser proposition and support.”
