Maui Ag Fest and 4H Fair

43rd Annual Kapalua Wine and Food Festival

The 43rd Annual Kapalua Wine and Food Festival is a four-day event offering a unique gourmet indulgence experience. Fly: A Celebration of Juneteenth

Maoli in Concert

Makawao Rodeo Week Events

Makawao Parade: June 29, 2024, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Makawao Town

The 56th Annual Makawao Parade kicks off with the Keiki Stick Horse Race at 8:00 AM. The parade features colorful floats, local marching bands, and community groups, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Makawao. The parade route starts at Makawao Elementary School and ends at the Makawao Ave./Makani Rd. intersection. Parking is available at Oskie Rice Arena with free shuttles to Makawao Town.

Enjoy live music from artists like Jordan Soon, Wai-Knot, Halau Keala Kahinano O Puna, and Te Ohi Nui. Tickets can be purchased in advance.

Kī hō`alu 2024 - Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival

The 33rd Annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival showcases some of Hawai‘i’s finest slack key guitar artists. The event is free to attend and this year’s lineup includes Darrell Aquino, Kevin Brown & Friends, Stephen Inglis, Ledward Kaapana, Kamuela Kahoano, Dwight Kanae, Kahiau Lam-Ho, Ian Osullivan, Anthony Pfluke, LT Smooth, Namaka Cosma White, and more! (Artist list subject to change)

Kī hō`alu, meaning “loosen the key,” is a unique guitar tuning technique rooted in the 19th century paniolo tradition. Recognized globally, slack key guitar is celebrated for its distinctive acoustic style, once earning a dedicated Grammy category.
