Together has hired industry veteran Maeve Ward as its intermediary project manager.

The specialist lender says Ward will be its representative in Wales and will review strategic growth plans with directors.

It adds she will also “support brokers and colleagues, providing group training presentations, lender days, and where appropriate, media and events in the region”.

She reports to director of intermediary sales Tanya Elmaz.

Ward, who has a 25-year career in financial services, was previously commercial director at Central Trust for three-and-a-half years.

Prior to that she was managing director at her own business Focused Bridging for just over 18 months, and worked at Shawbrook Bank for over nine years, leaving as managing director of residential mortgages in 2019.

Elmaz says: “Her [Ward’s] extensive understanding of the regulated specialist market means she is perfectly placed for Together and the Intermediary team.”

Ward adds: “I’ve been impressed with all aspects of Together; the heritage, the product suite, and the huge potential and desire for further growth with its intermediary partners.”

The business points out that Ward’s appointment means that 71% of its intermediary senior leadership team is now made up of women.
