Strettons has hired Anthony Salata as a senior consultant to its receivership department.

The property advisor says the veteran the chartered surveyor will bring “his wealth of commercial real estate expertise in restructuring, dispute resolution and receiverships” to the unit, led by Strettons director Paul Joseph.

The firm says the department supports a range of clients and lenders “to exit and recover funds quickly and efficiently”.

Salata has been a fixed charge receiver at Salata & Associates for just over six months. Before that he spent just over five-and-a-half years at property consultant and receivership firm Avison Young.

However, he spent the majority of his career as a founding director of Jorden Salata, a property and receivership management firm, from 1990 to 2015.

Salata is a former chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors dispute resolution practice panel for arbitration, adjudication, mediation and independent expert work.

He was also one of the first chartered surveyor mediators to be accredited by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution in 1993.

Strettons director and fixed charge receiver Paul Joseph says: “I am delighted to welcome Anthony to Strettons, and the team and I are very much looking forward to working with him.

“His core strengths lie in enhancing commercial and residential property assets, as well as realising distressed portfolios.”

Salata adds: “In a turbulent, post-pandemic market, particularly with the challenges faced by commercial and residential landlords, I’m looking forward to bringing my specialist expertise to the Strettons receivership team to complement the important work they are already doing.”
