Sesame Bankhall has hired Alex Beavis for the newly created role of mortgage and later life lending propositions director as the network “expands its services for advisors”.

Beavis joins from Skipton Building Society where he is head of mortgage products, and where he worked at the mutual for eight years in a range of management roles.

The Manchester-based advisor network says Beavis will take up his new role on 14 June and will be part of its newly formed propositions team, which will “drive forward the development and growth of new services for advisers across the mortgage, protection, and wealth markets”.

Beavis will work alongside Emma Thomson in the new propositions team. Thomson joined Sesame Bankhall Group in April as head of protection & general insurance propositions.

The pair will both report to the new propositions director, who the firm says “will be announced over the coming weeks”.

Sesame Bankhall chief executive Michele Golunska says: “Our group facilitated over £40bn of mortgages last year, giving us a strong market position, however, we aim to broaden our range of services and further expand our support.

“Our new propositions team will be key to this, by helping to develop the next generation of services for PMS Mortgage Club, Sesame, and Bankhall members.”

Beavis adds he is looking forward to working at a firm with “a focus on investing further in a range of new innovative services for advisors.”
