The Property Ombudsman has appointed Lesley Horton as property ombudsman and Andy Clachers has been named as chief executive after serving interim periods in the roles.
Horton and Clachers took on the new roles in February this year.
Horton has spent the majority of her career in legal regulatory roles at the Solicitors Regulation Authority and a global compliance role at a FTSE 100 company.
Over the last 17 years, Clachers has served in leadership roles in financial services, for both AXA and Standard Life in Asia. He also worked in Scotland as a regional managing director at Belvoir Group.
The Property Ombudsman chair Claire Bassett says: “The Board have been impressed by the significant improvement made within the organisation in recent months.”
“Together with increased external presence at conferences and meetings with key stakeholders and members, the positive impact is encouraging as TPO continues improving its customer journey.”
In April, The Property Ombudsman appointed Claire Bassett as its new chair.
