
Clydesdale Bank will withdraw selected variable rate loans, while launching others next week.
The lender will make the following changes on Monday 6 October:
- Two-year discount offset products will be withdrawn, including the 80% LTV product at 5.19% for loans smaller than £1m
- New discount variable rates will be launched, supporting customers opting for a variable rate with no early repayment charge. The new two-year discounts from standard variable rate will start from 4.99% for loans smaller than £1m
- For new buy-to-let customers, the offset variable investment housing loan will cease to be available as an on-sale product, with the current rate at 7.49%
The bank tells brokers in a note that if they are applying for a product that is being withdrawn, applications should be sent by 8pm on Sunday 5 October.
New discount variable rates will be available for applications from Monday.
