Pepper Money has announced that Rob Barnard will return to the specialist lender in the newly-created role of director of intermediary relationships.

Barnard will rejoin the business from Masthaven Bank where he was director of intermediaries. He first joined the bank from Pepper Money as director of sales in November 2018.

He first joined the broker-only lender in April 2016 leaving after almost three years as sales director.

Prior to that, he worked at Aldermore Bank for just over six years joining in 2010 and leaving as head of business distribution.

Barnard comes back to Pepper Money at the beginning of July in a role that the firm says will see him “develop its relationships with key broker and distribution partners”.

The business offers specialist residential and buy-to-let, first and second charge mortgage products to customers that include those who have experienced credit problems, are self-employed, work as contractors or earn variable income.

Pepper Money sales director Paul Adams says: “I’m very happy to welcome Rob back to Pepper Money. His energy and enthusiasm are unrivalled, and he will be a huge asset to our business as we look to further deepen our relationships with intermediaries and continue to grow our lending.”

Barnard adds: “There’s a very exciting future ahead and I’m looking forward to working together with our key intermediary relationships to ensure Pepper continues to grow its lending and help more people to succeed.”
