Santander cuts rates by up to 31 basis points | Mortgage Strategy

Santander is cutting rates on selected residential, Help to Buy and buy-to-let rates by up to 0.31 basis points tomorrow.

Residential rate cuts include:

  • 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.25 per cent with £999 fee – remortgage decreased by 0.04 percentage points
  • 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.28 per cent with £999 fee – purchase decreased by 0.31 percentage points
  • 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.49 per cent with £999 fee – remortgage decreased by 0.05 percentage points
  • 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.59 per cent with £999 fee – purchase decreased by 0.25 percentage points
  • 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.43 per cent with £999 fee – purchase decreased by 0.21 percentage points
  • 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.41 per cent with £999 fee – remortgage decreased by 0.03 percentage points
  • 75 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.69 per cent with £999 fee – remortgage decreased by 0.05 percentage points

Cuts to its large loan deals for purchase and remortgage include:

  • 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.49 per cent with £2,499 fee – decreased by 0.20 percentage points
  • 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.84 per cent with £2,499 fee – decreased by 0.10 percentage points
  • 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.69 per cent with £2,499 fee – decreased by 0.05 percentage points

Help to Buy reductions for purchase only include:

  • 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.39 per cent with £999 fee – decreased by 0.25 percentage points
  • 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.89 per cent with £0 fee – decreased by 0.10 percentage points
  • 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.80 per cent with £999 fee – decreased by 0.09 percentage points
  • 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.97 per cent with £0 fee – decreased by 0.12 percentage points
  • 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.83 per cent with £999 fee – decreased by 0.11 percentage points
  • 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 2.19 per cent with £0 fee – decreased by 0.05 percentage points
  • 75 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 2.24 per cent with £0 fee – decreased by 0.15 percentage points

Buy-to-let reductions for purchase and remortgage include:

  • 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.54 per cent with £1,499 fee – decreased by 0.10 percentage points
  • 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.69 per cent with £1,499 fee – decreased by 0.10 percentage points
  • 75 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 2.34 per cent with £0 fee – decreased by 0.05 percentage points
  • 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 2.16 per cent with £0 fee – decreased by 0.13 percentage points
  • 75 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 2.09 per cent with £1,499 fee – decreased by 0.05 percentage points
  • 75 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 2.39 per cent with £0 fee – decreased by 0.30 percentage points

Santander is also launching the following products with a maximum loan size of £1.5m:

  • 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.18 per cent with £1,499 fee – purchase
  • 60 per cent LTV two-year fixed at 1.14 per cent with £1,499 fee – remortgage
  • 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.38 per cent with £1,499 fee – purchase
  • 60 per cent LTV five-year fixed at 1.30 per cent with £1,499 fee – remortgage
