Imla welcomes three building societies as new members | Mortgage Strategy

The Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (Imla) has named The Cumberland Building Society, Saffron Building Society and Melton Building Society as new members. 

Founded in 1850, The Cumberland offers mortgages, savings, and current accounts, as well as residential and commercial mortgages across mainland UK.

Mutual society Saffron Building Society has been serving the local community in Essex, Hertfordshire and Sussex since 1849. It provides a range of residential and buy-to-let (BTL) products, including a special situation range.

Melton Building Society, founded in 1875, serves over 40,000 members in the Leicestershire, Rutland and Lincolnshire with mortgage, insurance and savings services. 

Cumberland head of intermediary lending David Robinson, Saffron head of mortgage sales Tony Hall and Melton head of intermediaries Dan Atkinson have been appointed Imla representatives. 

Imla executive director Kate Davies says: “We are delighted to welcome The Cumberland Building Society, Saffron Building Society and Melton Building Society into membership and look forward to hearing more from their teams at our upcoming engagements.”
