For the past thirteen years, The Honda Classic Golf Tournament has been played at Palm Beach Garden’s PGA National Resort and Spa. Recently, the popular PGA Tournament has been named the “Most Fan Friendly Event” in 2019. The award was presented to The Honda Classic Golf Tournament at the PGA Tour’s Annual Meetings. PGA National Resort and Spa has been the home to the golf tournament since 2007 and the tournament is back in Palm Beach County this February. PGA National consists of five golf courses with a total of 18 holes each. The courses include The Champion Course, The Palmer, The Estates, The Fazio, and The Squire. The Honda Classic is played every year on The Champion Course. The Champion Course was redesigned in 2014 and includes the famous “Bear Trap”, which consists of three challenging holes, the 15th, 16th and 17th. Over 200,000 thousand people are expected to attend to see some of the greatest golfers compete for the title. Returning champions and local Palm Beach County residents Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler have committed to play. In addition to golf, the tournament also has shopping, event tents, food, drinks, family activities, and much more. The Honda Classic will be back in Palm Beach County on Monday, February 24th with events and practice rounds but the tournament will be played on Thursday, February 27th through Sunday, March 1st.
