What are you saving for at the moment?

My next holiday!

Nothing particular at this stage.

Money is in my account for a good time, not a long time.

I try to save the same amount every payday, but sometimes I don’t quite get there.

As soon as I get paid I make sure I put away the same amount.

My savings go into a separate account before I even see it.

The news, if there’s ever a property story when I tune in.

The Australian Financial Review.

My mortgage broker or real estate agent.

When do you usually browse real estate?

When a For Sale sign catches my eye.

Every weekend in the papers.

Every couple of days to see what’s new.

Daily – it’s become a bit of a habit.

What is your main focus when looking at property?

As close to the beach as possible.

A trendy, vibrant area.

Fairly new and close to public transport.

Suburbs with community focus and plentiful public services i.e transport, childcare, hospitals.

You want to buy a house because…

It would be good to have a place of my own.

The prices in the areas I like might go up in the future.

I want to be able to renovate, decorate and own pets without having to get approval.

I would rather invest in my own asset than contribute to my landlord’s.
