Equity Release Supermarket adds three hires | Mortgage Strategy

Equity Release Supermarket has announced three new hires have joined the tech firm as it “continues to expand its UK operations”.

The specialist lender now says it stands at 60 advisors with the addition of Lauren Weir, Eileen Kendrick and Lokesh Singh, who “bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise from the general financial services sector”.

The Cheshire-based firm says Weir began her career in financial services in 2005 and has worked for “various high street banks”, gaining experience in mortgage and insurance-related products. During this time she was an in-house trainer for new advisers.

Veteran Kendrick has worked in various roles at Legal & General, Halifax, HSBC, NFU Mutual over the last 30 years. She joins from Mercer Financial Planning, where she managed a team of financial and mortgage advisers.

The later-life lender says Singh, began his financial services career in 2008 at Barclays, “gaining great experience in all aspects of financial advice”. Four years ago he moved into later life planning, and is now a qualified equity release specialist.

Equity Release Supermarket founder and chief executive Mark Gregory says: “Last year was undoubtedly a tough year for all, but with an upturn in the market and our positive activity, we continue to look forward to an exciting future, which our three new recruits will be part of.

He adds that the three new advisors with “their respective expertise will help us to further strengthen our position and reach throughout the UK.”

The firm says the regions the newcomers will cover include the North of England, East England, the Midlands and Wales.
