Hodge has hired Christie Cook as its managing director of retail.

The bank says veteran Cook will oversee all of its mortgages and savings business, covering product, distribution, marketing, customer origination, underwriting and first-line risk issues.

Cook joins from Nottingham Building Society, where she worked for 18 months, leaving as head of mortgages.

She also worked for the Bank of Ireland for more than eight years, leaving as head of product and pricing in 2021.

In an extensive career, she has worked for over three years as an underwriter for Capital Home Loans and First Active. She has also worked for almost five years as an offsite operations manager for Lehman Brothers, leaving in 2008.

Hodge chief executive Dave Landen says Cook brings “a broad wealth of knowledge and experience of the UK sector as a whole”.

Cook adds: “I’ll be looking to draw on the experience I have built up within the banking sector to date to further support Hodge as it continues on its current trajectory.”
