Chetwood Bank has appointed Meg Macdonald as business development manager for the South East and joined the Bridging & Development Lenders Association as an associate member.

Macdonald joins Chetwood from Next Intelligence, the mortgage club, where she was a telephone BDM and prior to that she was a case handler at Dynamo Packaging through its apprenticeship programme.

Chetwood offers buy-to-let mortgages through both its Moda and CHL brands, including for portfolio investors, individual landlords, limited companies and first-time investors.

Earlier this year the sales teams from Moda and CHL were combined.

The appointment comes as Chetwood announced it has become an associate member at the BDLA, a trade body which says it is committed to raising standards across the sector.

Macdonald says: “I’m genuinely excited to be starting as a BDM with Chetwood Bank and can’t wait to get out on the road and meet our broker partners face-to-face,” she said.

“I’m very solutions-led in my approach and I’m always looking for ways to turn obstacles into opportunities.

“I’ll be bringing a fresh perspective and outlook to the role, along with a big ball of energy, which will stand me in good stead when it comes to helping brokers with their clients’ cases.”

Chetwood Bank group sales director Darrell Walker says: “Meg is going to be a fantastic addition to what I believe is already one of the most dynamic and talented sales teams in the market.

“She brings an effervescent personality to the role, and I think brokers will really appreciate her energetic approach.”
