Creating good jobs for great people

As small business owners we have the freedom to choose our values, and then we have the responsibility to live by them. And one of the values that we are always striving for is creating good jobs for great people.

So, what makes for a good a job?

Ask 100 different people and you'll probably get 100 different answers, but for us a good job really comes down to 4 key traits.

#1: A good job is one where we are encouraged to grow throughout our whole career.

We've learned over time that when we choose to lean into our unique talents, and when we commit to daily and lifelong learning, we'll experience a level of accomplishment that we never imagined possible. We'll experience amazing, life-changing results when we set high standards for ourselves, when we take calculated risks, and when we explore new directions -- as individuals and as a team.

#2: A good job is one where teamwork is lived out each day.

In today's distracted and divided world, we're all in need of more collaboration, camaraderie, and connection. Ultimately we are here to complete each other, not compete with each other. Which is why we're always striving to create an environment where each team member always feels supported and cared for.

#3: A good job is one where each team member is working for a higher purpose.

For our team members, our higher purpose is community. Each of us contributes to our community in different ways, but we are all here to support each other in our efforts to make Dane County a better place to live, work, and recreate.

#4: A good job is one that offers good pay and good benefits.

At Mad City Dream Homes we believe in creating jobs where each team member has the opportunity to create a good life for themselves and their family. We offer our employees a competitive salary that rewards them for their exceptional work. We also offer a retirement plan and healthcare benefits -- plus paid time off for holiday, vacation, sick, and family leave. For our realtors, we provide a path that helps each agent grow financially throughout their whole career -- and even into retirement.

Do you know someone who is generous, hardworking and humble?

When someone is generous, hardworking and humble, they have everything they need to thrive in the world of real estate, so we're always happy to connect with people who have these traits and who are interested in learning more about our profession. Please reach out to either Ann or Dan for coffee and a conversation. We'll be happy to share our insights and offer our advice based on our own transitions into the world of real estate.
