Suffolk Building Society is extending telephone business development management (BDM) support to four additional regions of the UK.

Brokers in the North and North East will now be managed by Carly Scholes, who has been focused solely on brokers in the North West.

Scholes, who joined the Society in 2018, has been in the property industry since 2010, including a stint as a broker assistant for a financial adviser.

More brokers in Greater London and the South East, will now have telephone support from Beth Hillman, whose remit to date has been central London. Hillman, too, has a wealth of experience in the financial services sector, with the last seven years in the mortgage industry, and four years as a mortgage broker.

Suffolk BS, head of intermediary relations and mortgage sales Charlotte Grimshaw said: “Supporting mortgage brokers is our priority – it’s what we’re here for. By providing a dedicated BDM to brokers in new areas we’ll be able to assist with shaping cases and, in turn, offer solutions to their clients that they may not have been aware of before.

“With so many new criteria updates this year, (and more round the corner!) it’s the perfect time to broaden our coverage.”
