The Family Building Society has appointed Stuart Heavens as business development manager. 

Heavens joins from Catalyst Property Finance, where he served as an intermediary relationship manager. 

Having 15 years of experience in the lending and mortgage market, Heavens has previously worked at Nationwide, Countrywide and Leeds Building Society. 

His new role will cover the south coast from Dorchester in Dorset to Brighton in Sussex.

Heavens will take on the role from Michelle Bunter, who has moved to a new intermediary support role at the society. 

The Family Building Society head of intermediary sales Darren Deacon says: “We are delighted that Stuart has joined our growing team of BDMs. Intermediaries are very important to the society.”

Heavens adds: “This is an exciting challenge for me and I am very pleased to be joining such an innovative and forward looking building society, covering an interesting and beautiful part of the country.”
