The River Center in Jupiter is open to the public on selected days of the week for tours and events. The Loxahatchee River Environmental Center or just The River Center opened in August 2008 and features a collection of freshwater and saltwater aquariums with native sea life including touch tanks.

The mission of the River Center is to foster a sense of environmental stewardship for the Loxahatchee River’s diverse watershed through quality exhibits, educational programs, and meaningful events.  The center features live aquatic tanks, interactive exhibits, and a touch tank that represent the Loxahatchee River system.

Currently the River Center is open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 12 pm to 4 pm. The center provides a fun and educational opportunity for children, adults, visitors, and residents to learn about Florida’s Loxahatchee River, the first National and Wild Scenic River.
