Welsh-based broker First Mortgage Solutions has bought Jim Kelly Mortgage Services, a rival mortgage advisory firm serving clients across North Wales.  

First Mortgage Solutions says the broker will operate under its brand, adding that the new addition’s clients will be “supported by the wider resources and expertise of their team”. 

It adds that the purchase, for an undisclosed fee, is part of the Neath-based firm’s “ongoing growth strategy and strengthens its presence in North Wales”. 

The purchase also sees founder Jim Kelly (pictured) retire from the business he founded almost 30 years ago.

First Mortgage Solutions director Christopher Davies says: “It’s a real honour to be taking over from Jim, who has built such a well-respected and trusted business in North Wales.  

“I am very much looking forward to meeting and speaking with clients across North Wales. “At First Mortgage Solutions, our promise is to continue that same tradition of trust and personal service.” 

Kelly adds:
”After 28 years of running my business from Bank Place in Porthmadog, I have made the decision to retire. 

“While I look forward to retirement, I am pleased to confirm that the business is being transferred to Christopher Davies of First Mortgage Solutions.  

“Christopher brings extensive experience in mortgages, life insurance, and wills, and I am confident that clients will continue to receive the same high-quality advice and personal service they have come to expect.”
