Mortgage and protection broker Access Financial Services has just recruited its 100th broker.

The firm was set up in April 2017 by Karl Wilkinson as a one-broker company.

Access FS doubled its revenues in the last financial year. Wilkinson says the firm has ambitious growth plans for the future, and is aiming to double the number of brokers it employs over the next 12 months — while also helping them double their earnings stream.

It will do this by broadening the number of products brokers can offer customers while providing business growth support and training.

Access FS brokers benefit from whole of market lender, protection and general insurance panels, with access to all mainstream banks, lenders and a wide range of specialist lenders.

While some brokers join Access FS do so from other adviser firms, many are recruited via the company’s academy, which brings in individuals from outside of the mortgage industry.

Half of the brokers currently part of Access FS are specialist protection brokers, the other half advise on both mortgages and protection.
