Generation Home appoints new head of credit | Mortgage Strategy

Fintech lender Generation Home has appointed John Bridgman to be its new head of credit.

Bridgman joins from Virgin Money where he was head of mortgage credit. He has 15 years’ experience in the industry, having also worked for HSBC and Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank where he was head of mortgage credit and financial modelling.

In his new role Bridgman will be responsible for credit processes and policy as well as working with Generation Home’s funding partners to help grow the business. Bridgman will report to the chief executive Will Rice and will work closely with the operations, data and underwriting teams.

Generation Home has raised £29.2m in funding over he past two years, and now has a team of over 70 employees.

Rice said Bridgman’s understanding of credit processes and risk management expertise makes him a valued addition to the senior team.
