The Mortgage Strategy Awards 2020, set to take place this Thursday March 19, have been postponed.
After much deliberation and listening to the views of the industry, the team at Mortgage Strategy has decided that the threat to health posed by the Covid-19 outbreak poses too much of a risk to proceed with the awards at this time.
The awards are a much-anticipated event in the mortgage industry each year and plans are being put in place to reschedule the celebration in the autumn.
All bookings will be transferred to the later date.
Mortgage Strategy editor Rebekah Commane says: “It is with great regret that we have made the decision to postpone this year’s awards ceremony but we feel this is the correct decision given the severity of the Covid-19 outbreak.
“The health and safety of our guests is paramount and having listened to the views of many members of the industry, we feel this decision reflects the general mood in this unprecedented situation.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by the postponement of the awards and hope that you can all join us at a later date to raise a glass to all of our deserving winners and this fantastic, resilient industry.
“Thank you to all of our sponsors and guests for your understanding and patience.”
